Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) New England Region Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting education and an enhanced understanding of inflammatory breast cancer. Based in Massachusetts, the organization is a coalition of professionals from a range of industries who are dedicated to promoting educational efforts and support for patients and caregivers.
IBC New England’s president wanted a logo that would stand out among breast cancer sites (read as “not pink”) and would emphasize the educational and informational aspects of the organization. I designed the IBC New England identity as a crest to mimic those often seen in higher education. The flame on the crest represents a beacon of light.
Using the new logo, I designed a website to promote IBC New England’s efforts as well as creating a space where survivors, caregivers and friends in the healthcare and business communities can find information. The site utilizes the WordPress framework to make it easy for IBC New England to update in the future. I designed the look of the site from a template created by the fine people at WooThemes, who I highly recommend.
