Engaging Israel is a project of the Shalom Hartman Institute’s Kogod Center for Contemporary Jewry. It aims to reposition Israel as a source of moral and religious significance for Jews around the world.
The Shalom Hartman Institute is where leading thinkers, educators and agents of change in the Jewish world gather to study, create, and disseminate new ideas and innovative programs.
Shalom Hartman wanted an invitation designed to attract attendees and present the course offerings of a year long “study forum” in an easy to read format that would entice invitees to participate in the program.
In addition to the invite, I designed envelopes and program branded note cards that could be personalized and dropped in the mail with the invites.
This is an early draft of the invitation. My client had some reservations about using a map of Israel and we would eventually go in a new direction, but I still really like where this one was headed.
